Last week of June/first week of July

Catching up again....
June 22-26th-Brenna and Brody got to go to Little Lambs Preschool for two 2-hour sessions. They were a little reluctant about going but ended up having fun. One of the days, I went in to Sherman to work on my room and the other day I treated myself to a pedicure. On Thursday, we brought lunch to Carrie's and spent a few hours at her house. John and Brenda joined us. Carol, Carrie's neighbor also stopped by. The kids rode their bike on the bridge, through the sprinkler, and played volleyball. It was a fun afternoon! I had taken quite a few pictures and when I went to upload them to the computer, the memory card did not have any of my pictures. This is the second time I have lost pictures..not sure what is going on with my camera.

Friday, Great-Grandma De-De, Abbi, Brenna, Brody and I went to the strawberry patch in Foster. The kids helped picked strawberries and had fun. Brody's face was all stained red from eating so many strawberries. The pictures of that event disappeared too. Grandma Merri called and invited us out for lunch so we ended up driving to Eau Claire for lunch. We came back home in time to pack our pool bags and head to the Osseo pool. It was a great day to be at the pool and the kids had fun. In the evening, Steve brought the dogs into Osseo to swim in the lake. It took Cooper awhile to get the hang of swimming. Tess swims so quietly and lady like, which was not the case for Cooper who splashed and barreled through the water.
June 29th-July 5th- The week was uneventful and low key for the most part. Monday, Sarah, Jaxon, and Avery came out for a visit. The kids had fun playing inside and outside. Brody and Brenna have been fighting off some bug since Monday. Brody did not eat hardly anything yesterday. Brenna has been tired and has had a headache. With the weather being so non summer-like, I guess it's a good time to be sick. The kids did help make strawberry jam and pack up all of the toys in the toyroom. On Friday, we will begin tearing off the lovely lathe and plaster walls. Wednesday night, we went and watched cousin Tyler's baseball game. He did not get to play much, but had a great hit at the end of the game.
Avery with her cute smile.
The days at home with Brenna and Brody are going way too fast. Brody loves to play baseball, volleyball or anything with a ball and asks me to play all of the time. Brenna is mainly into her babies and taking them for stroller rides. Brody's newest thing is telling Brenna, "I don't care about you Brenna or I don't love you Brenna." Brenna was in tears the other day because Brody told her he didn't care about her. The next day, she asked me, "Do you think Brody cares about me now?" Of course, Brody heard Brenna ask me and then said he still didn't care about her.....
Brody and Cooper. Cooper can be so good.............

and so bad! This is one of his favorite past times! Friday Steve, Steve's dad, and Uncle Jimmy began ripping the lathe and plaster off from the walls. It was a mess, but they were able to get the messy stuff done in one day.
The empty dining room. False ceilings and paneling soon to be gone!

Brenna and Brody were good helpers wearing Cousin Heather's sunglasses for safety glasses. :)
Brenna and Brody drove their jeeps around and followed uncle when he drove the excavator to the dumpster.

Friday night after getting all of the walls tore off, Heather, Aunt Jessie, and Uncle stayed for dinner with us and for some small fireworks. The kids waited patiently for it to get dark enough to light the fireworks. Brody played catch non-stop and Brenna ran around. Both kids actually slept in on Saturday!

Brody pulling the string on one of the firework poppers. I love the look on his face.

Brenna fell asleep in Jessie's arms before we made it back inside.
On Saturday, there was a demolition derby in Augusta. On the way there, Brenna developed a fear of hills. Yes, I typed hills. We were on the backroads to August going down a hill in Steve's truck and she started to cry and say she wanted to go back home. I was hoping it was just a one time overtired issue, but the fear was still there today when we went to August for the parade, and when I was going to pull them with the bike in the doodle-bug. For Brenna's sake, I hope this goes away quickly!
Saturday night we watched fireworks in Pleasantville. We didn't get home until after 11:00. Brody and Brenna liked the fireworks but were tired from a busy day!
Congratulations to friend Erica on becoming a mom to Grant!
