Swimming Lessons Level 2 Completed!

Brenna and Brody took swimming lesson in Augusta this summer.  It was a two-week class and they were both in level 2.  They learned so much and they both passed!

 They are both so much more comfortable in the water now.  Next up--Level 3!! 

T-Ball

Brenna and Brody both played T-Ball this summer. Brenna was initially undecided about whether to play or not but ended up deciding to play.  She said she doesn't think she will play next year though.  Brody has a passion for baseball and loved every minute of practice!  I didn't even ask him if he will play next year because I know his answer will be yes. For the last practice, the kids get to play against the parents.  I was on camera duty so I got out of playing...thankfully. :)

Brenna and Brody had two special spectators on the Tuesday before the last practice.  Carrie and Matt came to watch!

Summer Race!

Brenna, Brody and I decided to run the RCU Charity Classic race again this summer. I ran the 10K race and they ran the childrens' 1/4 mile race. Brenna, Brody, my mom, and my cousin Angie cheered me on. I met my goal of finishing in less than 60 minutes.  Brody and Brenna both did very well and had fun! When Brenna finished she said, "I'm never doing that again," but she always says that after every race.

Summer Fun

The summer has been flying by!  I guess that happens when one is never home.  One day during the last week of June, we decided to head to Chaos.  Cousin Heather and her boyfriend, Jesse, joined us.  We had a great day!

Brenna and Brody are taking swimiming lessons in Augusta this year.  Coon Forks, a nice beach, is near Augusta so we decided to have a picnic and beach time with friends after swimming lessons.

It took Brody and Brenna awhile to get used to swimming in a lake.

Jaxon hurt his foot so all of the girls were pampering him. 

Picking Strawberries

The kids were patiently waiting to see cars parked at the strawberry patch that is down the road from us, until one day they finally saw cars and then begged to go pick strawberries. Great-Grandma De-De joined us one time, and Cousin Heather the second time.We made a few trips to the two strawberry patches by us and picked way too many strawberries.  After freezing quite a few and making a few batches of strawberry jam, I am done with strawberries for this summer.  The kids were great helpers with picking the strawberries and with cleaning them when we got home. I have two great helpers! 

                 Brody likes to find rotten strawberries so he can see how far he can throw them.

                   Brenna enjoys picking strawberries for awhile and then usually resorts to people watching.

Walking in the Rain

After spending a few too many rainy days inside, it was time to go play out in the rain one day a few weeks ago.  Brenna took out an umbrella and Brody put a box on his head. They didn't stay out long, but they thought it was fun to go out in the rain.
