Apology letter

The past few weeks our life has focused on getting healthy.  I barely have any pictures on my camera and, we haven't gone anywhere exciting to report about.  All because we have been home trying to get healthy.  The Monday after Christmas, Brody started with the flu. By Tuesday, Brenna had it and on Wednesday it was my turn.  Thursday it was Steve's turn and he didn't officially feel better until Monday.  It was a week of cleaning up messes and trying to de-germ the house.  We had just recovered from the flu, when we all got colds....nasty colds.  As of Monday, I think we are all healthy now.   Here are a few things I missed writing about.

On January 6th, Brenna and Brody's Uncle Jimmy got burned in an accident at work. Thankfully the burn was mostly by his arm and he should hopefully make a full recovery. He did need a skin graft, which caused additional pain. He is finally home from the hospital and doing well.  We are thankful for that!

My awesome nephew, Tyler, turned 15 on January 18th.  When Tyler was little, he had the chubbiest little legs, so I always called him porkchop.  Now he has grown up into a caring, handsome young man.  He is a great kid.  I am a very proud Aunt!  Brenna and Brody LOVE their cousin Ty-Ty!

And to end with a story:
Last Tuesday, just before Brenna left for dance, Brody dug his fingernails into her arm.  Well, I decided that Brody needed to write an apology letter to Brenna while she was at dance.  After Brenna and Brody's Uncle Jimmy heard the story, he told  Brenna she also needed to write an apology letter to Brody since she started the fingernail incident.  This suggestion went over well because it was suggested by someone other than me!

Brody's apology letter to Brenna written on the whiteboard: I am sorry for doing that
Brenna's apology letter (written the day after she had read Brody's letter):  Brody, you still should not have done that.  :)

All for now!
