A Quick Catch Up

We have spent a lot of time playing outside the past couple of weekends. Sledding, sledding, and more sledding. I have been a blog slacker. Here are some pictures.
Love the expression
Tutter, Tess's boyfriend, joined us one day for sledding along with Tootie and Desi.
Brenna riding the Mini Z. She REALLY wants Brody to join her.
The snowmobile stopped running and Brody and Brenna were attempting to fix it before Steve and I made it over to them. :)
LOVE the rosy cheeks..and the freckles. This picture looks like winter.

We have also been able to make it a couple of cousin Tyler's wrestling matches this week and weekend.  I think I can brag since he's my nephew, right?  He is an awesome wrestler and it is really fun (and sometimes stressful) to watch him!  Today (Sunday) he wrestled in Eau Claire and we were able to watch three matches.  He is not only a great wrestler, but a great kiddo too.  I am a very proud Aunt!

Mixed up words

We have had not had a lot going on the last couple of weeks. I don't think I've used my camera since I videotaped Brody's moves, which is a long time for me to go without taking a picture.

Brenna and Brody (me too!) have eased back into the school routine after having two weeks off for Christmas. Brody had SO many aches and pains on Monday morning that I was actually beginning to believe he was sick. Both Brenna and Brody like to throw out complaints in the morning hoping they won't have to go to school. I'm REALLY scared that this has already started in 4K. Anyway, Brody's head hurt, then his stomach, next it was his hip. And he didn't have just an ordinary headache, but it was a MINUS headache according to him. I finally figured out he was meaning to say migraine. :)

Then there's Brenna who told me this evening that her bus driver's name is Samanda. Such an interesting name. It's kind of a cross between Amanda and Samantha. I really couldn't keep from laughing when she told me this and even argued with me after being corrected. The bus driver's name is actually Amanda, but apparently every morning Brenna says, "Hi Samanda." I'm not sure how this came about, unless it's when she heard someone says, "It's Amanda."

My children do make me laugh every day!!

Brody's Moves

I think Brody has the "dance like no one is watching" thing down.
Brody, Brenna, Abbi and Desi were playing some sort of dancing game. I didn't get a video of Brenna because she wouldn't let me take one. It was really fun to watch the live version and made me smile. Hopefully the video does Brody's dance skills justice.

Good-bye Vacation, Hello 2010

This was one of the best vacations with my kiddos! We were able to spend a lot of time outside and had a good balance of  being home and out and about.
We went sledding on the hill behind our house.  The Harts joined us one day.  Brody walked up the hill at least 10 times.  He continues to  refuse to ride on the snowmobile.

Brenna and Desy on the snowmobile. Brenna begs to drive the Mini Z every day! She does pretty well as long as no one distracts her.  If she gets distracted, she will continue to drive while looking to the side.

Abbi recovering from a snow wash.

We decided to go the Eau Claire Sports Center for their New Years Eve party.  The kids had a great time on the inflatables and running around.  They participated in a scooter race and a dance contest.

Brody has a nice Kool-Aide smile because that was the free refreshment for the evening.

                                                            Finally, the balloons dropped.

Brody took a picture of Steve and I while we waited for Brenna.
Happy New Year!
